DOLE and DA celebrates LTC anniversary thru Kadiwa ng Pangulo

The Department of Labor and Employment – National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR), through its Makati-Pasay Field Office (MPFO), in partnership with the Department of Agriculture (DA) and Food Terminal Incorporated (FTI), launched another leg of Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) on May 20, 2025, Palanan, Makati City.

This is to celebrate the 36th anniversary of LTC Multi-Services and Training Center, Inc.—a member of the Makati City Tripartite Industrial Peace Council that aims to support Filipino consumers and empower local producers.

DOLE and DA celebrates LTC anniversary

Officials and attendees at the Kadiwa ng Pangulo event celebrating LTC's 36th anniversary

The Department of Labor and Employment – National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR), through its Makati-Pasay Field Office (MPFO), in partnership with the Department of Agriculture (DA) and Food Terminal Incorporated (FTI), launched another leg of Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) on May 20, 2025, Palanan, Makati City.

This is to celebrate the 36th anniversary of LTC Multi-Services and Training Center, Inc.—a member of the Makati City Tripartite Industrial Peace Council that aims to support Filipino consumers and empower local producers.

  • Progressive Farmers of Zambales and FTI earned ₱33,400
  • Supported vulnerable groups including low-income families and senior citizens

The collaboration also supported President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.s' P20-per-kilo rice program, which aspire to ensure food security, accessibility, and affordability. Currently, the program serves vulnerable groups, including low-income families, senior citizens, solo parents, and persons with disabilities.

Among the LTC workers who availed the P20-per-kilo rice, Mr. Tristan Cajes from the Human Resources department expressed his gratitude to DOLE, DA, and LTC for the initiative. He also voiced his hope for the program's continuation.

"Happy ako na nakabili ako ng bente pesos na bigas. Kahit na small scale pa lang, sana maging normal na 'yung bente pesos na bigas at mag-invest pa ang government sa pagsuporta sa mga magsasaka. Law of supply and demand,"

Regional Director Atty. Sarah Buena S. Mirasol, on the other hand, graced the event and commended the KNP for offering basic goods without additional commercial markups.

Consumers also promoted local sellers and farmers by purchasing fresh goods such as vegetables, fruits, and rice during the program.

Financial Impact

When the KNP concluded, the Progressive Farmers of Zambales and FTI earned a total of ₱33,400 pesos, demonstrating the program's economic benefit to local producers.
